5-Inch phones started appearing in 2012. It was received with bouquets and brick bats. No doubt the huge display was breath taking. The biggest complaint was that it was unwieldy, not too cool to be seen holding a 5-inch phone against your ear and of course the sizable hole it makes in your pocket. Currently however, the LG Optimus G price in India has shown that cost doesn't quite affect the size of the screen anymore.Any further increase in resolution was declared useless as the human eye will not be able to discern the difference. Any further increase in size was considered a strict no-no as the human hand can’t reach the total area. Well humans don’t always listen to reason. The manufacturers kept increasing the size and resolution and gave the device a new name "phablet".The phablet makers are now planning production lines for 6 inch devices.
