Asus touts three in one transformer book trio

The Taiwanese computer manufacturer Asus has unveiled a mobile device which was described as the worlds first three in one tablet, laptop and a desktop computer.The device was aptly named as Transformer Book trio, shown off at the Computex Taipei IT trade show.It was powered by Intel's new fourth generation processors and runs on both Windows and Android operating systems.When the screen and keyboard are connected the system operates as a Windows PC while separating the screen allows it to be used as an Android tablet.


FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS:
  • It features an 11.6 inch 1080p screen and a detachable keyboard allowing the user to operate the device as a tablet or a laptop computer.
  • The device can also be plugged into an external monitor and function as a desktop computer.
  • When using the tablet portion alone, a 2Ghz Intel Atom processor powers the device to run in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
  • The operating system can be switched to Windows 8 with just push of a button and then the users can have full access to keyboard.
  • The Laptop and desktop  mode of the Transformer Book Trio was powered by an Intel Core i7 Haswell CPU.
  • Battery life of this Transformer Book Trio was said to last upto 15 hours.
  • The hard drive space available for use ranges from 750 GB or 1TB up from the 64GB SSD found in the tablet.
The pricing and a solid release date for the Asus Transformer Book Trio have yet to be announced.The price of the device is expected to be around $1,345 which was high comparing with the current mainstream notebooks.Eventhough new gadget have some edge over other notebooks it also has some disadvantages within it.The reports indicate that the device is expected to be released during the third quarter of this year.
